Les Nouveaux Anges School is a bilingual (French - English) Montessori school.
It welcomes 3-9 year old children of all nationalities - offering them a passionate discovery of the world. |
We aim to place the child in contact with passionate and inspired educators and invited speakers individuals that are capable of relaying with sensitivity to the children their own talents and interests.
Rather than striving to fill the children's mind with knowledge, our work aims to help them acquire a love of learning and the tools to learn at their own pace. The educators and speakers are chosen according to their ability to ignite the children's curiosity and interests. |

| The 3 to 6 environment An educational programme which respects the national curriculum. The national pre-school curriculum stresses the importance of the following activities : |
| Language : |
Each child is allowed the opportunity to partake in verbal exchanges and be fully engaged in language activities through real communication.
To introduce the child to the world of literature. To converse and communicate in a variety of situations |
Movement and corporal expression : |
Until the age of 6-7 years old, physical activity requires the body to be used as a tool of action, exploration, expression and communication. This movement is essential for the development of motor skills and the harmonious workings of both the emotions and the intellect. Children have a very real need for movement : each day physical activities are organised indoors and outdoors (games in the garden, mime and circus activities, corporal expression and folkloric dance).
| A discovery of the world : |
The school offers the child an impassioned introduction to an abundant and wide variety of themes - organizing activities to transport the child on his/her own journey of discovery. Many activities are organized daily: gardening in the school's private garden, painting*, music, ladybug or Butterfly raising, art, bread making, singing and storytelling. |

| The encouragement of sensitivity, imagination and creativity : |
| To follow : a summary of the Montessori method. |
The 6 to 9 environment The 6-9 environment is for children from CP, CE1 and CE2. The children work individually or in small groups. The Montessori program is created in a way to present to the children a coherent vision of the univers and the world where the different subjects are logically connected to each other. The children play an active role during the learning process: a Montessori teacher tries to satisfy the children's intellectual curiosity and their need and wish to understand with the best possible answers. The priority in the 6-9 Montessori environment is of course also to fulfill the official national curriculum like reading, writing, grammar and mathematics. The 6-9 environment is generally run in French and English |
